The Seagull, Anton Chekhov’s nineteenth century tragicomic masterwork, follows a cast of idiosyncratic characters on a country estate as they navigate failures in love and art. This contemporary adaptation of the naturalistic classic explores perils of finding one’s place in the world, and asks a question integral to the human condition: how do you live with failure?
